How Aldea Works
Aldea builds a small village around each birthing person and baby, then keeps that village connected to the clinic and health plan.

Dora
A trusted community member who checks in, listens, and helps notice early warning signs.

Doula
A trained birth and postpartum support person who helps you prepare, advocate, and recover.

Nurse
To help you understand what’s happening in your body, what’s normal, and when to seek care.

Social Worker
To help with resources like housing, food, transportation, mental health, and benefits.
Aldea works alongside your doctors, midwives, clinic, and health plan.
The Aldea Companion
Every family in Aldea receives the Aldea Companion, a physical book that:

-
follows you from early pregnancy through your baby’s first year
-
explains “what’s normal and what’s not” in plain language
-
helps you plan for birth and postpartum
-
gives you questions to ask at appointments

Doras, doulas, nurses, and social workers all use the Companion with you, so everyone is looking at the same map.
Why this matters
By bringing these pieces together:

-
birthing people feel less alone and more prepared
-
clinics and plans get better information about what’s happening between visits
-
community support and clinical care are linked instead of siloed

The result is more consistent connection points, better engagement, and a safer, more supported perinatal journey.
